ARTIST STATEMENT & CV
I paint to center myself, and to share the beauty of a place with others. When I go for a walk and take photographs, I try to elicit the energy of a place by sketching using exercises from figure drawing. Then I develop and finish the painting in the studio.
I paint in acrylic, sometimes collaging with metal (see “Enchanted Forest” or paper (see “Meditators Make the Weather”. These paintings were painted entirely from my imagination.
My work has been shown in several venues in Washington, DC. And New York City, and hangs in private homes throughout the US.
